Meet Daintry Jensen
Daintry is a New York based actor and writer. Trained at the Esper Studio and Trinity Rep Conservatory, she loves bringing emotionally complex characters to life. She’s recently returned to acting after a hiatus, where she published her first novel, The Hidden Forest, as well as several screenwriting projects after completing the UCLA Professional Screenwriting Program. Past credits include playing Lisa in the hit Los Angeles play It’s Just Sex, where she got a “Stand Out” mention in the Los Angeles Times, as well as playing Allison in the critically acclaimed film Hitting the Ground with Neal Huff.
Born in New York and raised in New England, Daintry’s an East Coast girl at heart, and always being fascinated by acting and storytelling, her casting sweet spot is emotionally layered women - characters who appear one way but operate with strategic complexity underneath.
THE REVIEWS
“Dr. Morgan Mead (Daintry Jensen) is the ultimate woman: she is Eve! And this is the playwright’s homage to her. ”
“Infidelity proves to be more thank ‘Just Sex’… Jeff Gould (writer-director) finds his way to emotional authenticity with his engaging new serious comedy It’s Just Sex …Nozick and [Daintry] Jensen are the other standouts.”
“Daintry Jensen might well give a lesson to all actresses, present and future. She shows us all the varied patchwork of emotions - hopes, fears, frustrations and raw courage…Jensen gives a tenderly moving performance in a role which, in less talented hands, might have been a lugubrious tearjerker. Neatly done.”
